Email Software Review was built to answer one question that kept coming up in my work as an email marketer: which platform is actually worth paying for?
Most review sites list features from vendor documentation. This site tests platforms hands-on — with real subscriber lists, real campaigns, and real results — before publishing a verdict.
About Me
I’m Elmer Antileo. I’ve been building email lists and managing campaigns since 2019. In that time, I’ve worked with:
- B2B SaaS companies managing lead nurturing sequences with 10,000-50,000 contacts in ActiveCampaign and GetResponse
- E-commerce brands running abandoned cart automations and product recommendation campaigns in WooCommerce + Moosend
- Newsletter creators growing audiences on beehiiv, Kit, and MailerLite from zero to thousands of subscribers
- Small service businesses using AWeber and Brevo for simple weekly newsletters
I’ve paid for subscriptions on every platform I review. I’ve migrated lists between platforms. I’ve hit deliverability issues, fought broken automations, and spent hours with support teams. That experience is what this site is built on.
How Reviews Work
Every review on this site involves 30-90 days of real use. I don’t base ratings on feature lists or vendor demos. I test:
- Email deliverability — measured open rates and inbox placement using live campaigns
- Automation quality — built real welcome sequences, tested conditional logic, measured trigger accuracy
- Support responsiveness — contacted support with genuine questions, measured response time and quality
- Actual pricing — signed up with my own payment to verify billing vs. advertised price
- Editor usability — built test emails and rendered them across email clients
