Choosing an email marketing platform is partly a features question — but mostly a pricing question. The same subscriber count costs $0/month on some platforms and $79/month on others, and most comparison articles don’t make that visible at a glance.
We built a free tool that fixes this: the Email Marketing Cost Calculator.
What the Calculator Does
Enter your subscriber count and how often you send. The tool instantly shows you the monthly price across 10 major platforms — sorted cheapest first — with a highlighted “Best Value” pick and a live insight like: “At 5,000 subscribers sending weekly, Systeme.io saves you $49/mo compared to GetResponse.”
Platforms included: beehiiv, GetResponse, Kit (ConvertKit), AWeber, MailerLite, Moosend, Systeme.io, ActiveCampaign, Brevo, and Mailchimp.
Why Pricing Varies So Much
Email platforms use completely different pricing models:
- Subscriber-based (most common): you pay based on how many contacts are in your list, regardless of how many emails you send. This is GetResponse, AWeber, beehiiv, Kit, MailerLite.
- Email-volume-based: you pay per email sent, not per subscriber. Brevo uses this model — which makes it very cheap for large lists you email infrequently.
- Feature-tier based: some platforms (like Systeme.io) price by feature set rather than list size, with unlimited sends on every plan.
The calculator accounts for all of these, including Brevo’s per-send pricing that adjusts based on your frequency selection.
How to Use It
Head to the Email Marketing Cost Calculator, set your subscriber count (use the slider or type it in), and pick your send frequency. Results update live. Click “Try [Platform]” on any card to go directly to their signup page.
Prices shown are approximate and based on publicly available pricing as of 2026. Always confirm on the platform’s pricing page before subscribing.
